Yogananta Studio

YogAnanta studio derives it’s name from the Sanskrit language, combining two words.

What to expect in our yoga class
We offer safe and systematic progression of study. Students develop skills in asanas and pranayama (postures and breathing). Certified Iyengar Yoga teachers have a deep commitment to excellence in teaching due to investing many years in training and continuous learning with senior Iyengar teachers.
In class, our teachers will give clear demonstrations of the yogasanas using precise instructions. Correct language helps to develop the student’s understanding, thus taking them towards skillful action. The teacher also touches-to-correct and adjusts students when necessary. Sequencing asanas during class develop mobility, strength and correct alignment.
Furthermore, in order for students to achieve a better understanding of the asanas, we use props. Gaining a deeper learning of actions while also increasing stability is where props become helpful. The essential props, such as: mats, blankets, ropes, belts, chairs and wooden blocks are available in the studio. If you prefer to use your own mat, you are welcome to carry it with you.
Our teachers at Yogananta are well-trained in adapting the asanas for your special needs and/or health conditions. These skills are learnt by regularly assisting in special needs and special practice classes conducted by senior-most teachers.
Our students provide insight on their experiences with yoga and our teaching in their testimonials.
